A winter landscape held almost entirely in blue: the sky, filling the upper half, is a blue-grey surface with white and violet clouds pushed on with a broad brush. Below the horizon a bank spreads across the full width, with white and cream forms — snow, rocks or roofs — emerging from the dark blue mass, and crimson and olive-green accents beneath them. The foreground is a greenish-white plain in horizontal strokes. The photograph of the work is older and less sharp; the year and dimensions remain to be confirmed.
