Ruxandra Ionescu

A painter and teacher among the best known of his generation in Ploiești and Prahova, Ion Șinca is a name and a case apart in his generation. In this exhibition too you recognize, without doubt, a manner of the painter Ion Șinca — in the chosen motifs, in the colouring of the works, down to the meticulous care for presentation.

Landscape is a favourite genre of the painter, so one may say that — in the confrontation with reality — the landscape expresses him as a state of mind.
