"Ion Șinca was my first teacher in the field of art, the one who opened the gates to this world for me and gave me the courage to dream. Ever since I was a child I noticed the warmth in his gestures and in his voice. I was fascinated that he could see the beauty in every soul and encourage the talent of each pupil. He always left chocolate for me in the cupboard, without wanting to be noticed. Before he was my teacher he was my godfather; I loved him and wanted to call him as I always had: «Godfather». This exhibition is one more chance to express my gratitude for all that he was and all that he taught me. You will always be my source of emotion and inspiration. Godfather, I hope you are proud of me. Kisses, Maia."
