Landscape “Radzin Chełmiński”
Peisaj „Radzin Chelminschy”
1979 · watercolour · 32 × 45 cm
A watercolour of three low houses aligned with the bottom edge of the sheet: one pale green, one pink, one grey, all with triangular gables and windows drawn in thin ink. Behind them a hill rises in deep red and orange, broken by blackish-green tree crowns, while above the sky is a grey wash allowed to run in wet blooms. The technique is visibly wet-in-wet: contours dissolve, pigment gathers at the edges, and the white of the paper is reserved for the façades. A pencil inscription at the lower right gives the name of the place.
