Coming to Ploiești at the age of 15, passing the entrance to the Art High School, Ion Șinca began the arduous road of painting. He came down from the village of Pietriceaua, Brebu commune — Luchian's Brebu — to unravel the mysteries of art, his talent inherited from his father, a talent he cultivated ceaselessly and with diligence.
