Renaștere (Rebirth)mixed media · 50 × 40 cm

I fondly remember the art classes in secondary school, held in a bright studio, where Mr. Șinca, with his usual cigarette, would greet us with the question "How's it going, lions, are you ready?". He was not only a teacher but the mentor who taught me to look at art and at the world around me. He told us that drawing is more than replicating reality; it is interpreting it through our own sensibility. He taught us to notice the details, to be patient and to be guided by emotion, not only by technique. He taught us that mistakes are part of creation, and that art is about exploration, not perfection. Beyond the art lessons, he gave us lessons in life — about patience, beauty in the details, and the courage to be creative.
