Most people know Ion Șinca the painter, the consummate artist who, through each of his landscapes, sought to carry the viewer into the infinite universe of colour used with such skill and delicacy — into a dreamworld where time seems not to exist. I, on the other hand, knew Ion Șinca the drawing teacher, the complete educator in the fine and visual arts, who, through his gentleness and patience, painted the road toward an artistic career that many of us went on to embrace.
