Faleza la Vama Veche
1995 · oil on canvas · 46 × 55.5 cm
A cliffed shore seen from above: an ochre-pink bank, cut into steps and slumping, advances from the left towards the middle of the canvas, with olive-green grass on the plateau and the fallen earth wall in pink, brick and brown. Below it opens a narrow, almost white beach, and the sea spreads to the right in blue-grey bands, with a long trail of white foam entering the picture. In the distance a second promontory, pink-orange, closes the bay. The sky takes the upper third: a cream band with heavy grey clouds rubbed on horizontally. Signed lower right: I. Șinca / 95.
