A rich bouquet opening wide across the upper part of the canvas: white daisies with yellow centres, cup-shaped yellow flowers, carmine-pink corollas and red buds mingle in a dense mass supported by long stems and dark green leaves descending towards the bottom edge. A few blue and turquoise accents appear among the petals, and ochre and orange patches show at the left. The ground is a uniform blue-grey that isolates the bouquet like an object. The brushwork is short and loaded, the paint thick; no vase is visible — the flowers seem held in the hand or freshly cut.
