2012 · oil on canvas · 45 × 55 cm
A bouquet opening wide across the upper part of the canvas: white daisies with yellow centres rise on long stems at the right, cup-shaped yellow flowers gather at the left, and between them slip carmine-pink corollas and accents of bright red. The long dark green stems fan down towards the bottom edge, where they are lost in shadow. The ground is a cool blue-grey applied in vertical strokes that isolates the flowers. The handling is more transparent than in the earlier still lifes, with thin overlays; the emphasis falls on the airy arrangement of the stems rather than on the mass of the bouquet.
