The porch of a house seen from the yard: the brick-red metal roof descends diagonally from the upper corner, supported by two white vertical posts that divide the canvas into three. The rear wall is an almost empty grey-white and blue surface, and along the bottom runs a long red bench with two wooden stools in front. The only vivid accent is a cascade of white and pink flowers hanging from the upper left, painted in small thick patches. Green vegetation enters from the left edge. The composition is strictly geometric — horizontals and verticals — and the flowers are allowed to unbalance it.
