Peisaj
1988 · oil on canvas · 81 × 98 cm
An open landscape built in horizontal bands: below, a dark green meadow descends towards the edge of the canvas with a few round-crowned trees scattered like markers; in the middle a rocky crest in ochre, brick red and dull violet emerges from the slope like an eroded natural wall. Behind, a grey-green hill runs to a thin horizon line, and the sky fills the upper third as a thick, uniform beige-grey blanket. A pale road or dry bed enters at the lower right and is lost in the middle distance. The brushwork is broad, the paint thick in the rocks, and the colour stays warm and muted, without violent accents.
