Red Ravine

The wall of a ravine crosses the canvas horizontally, broken into superimposed strata of carmine, pink, ochre and violet, cut by dark horizontal lines marking the deposits of earth. Above, an olive-green and blue crest closes the bank, with a bluish, almost animal form rising at the left. The foreground is a yellow-green strip in horizontal strokes, and the sky is a uniform pale blue. The red is the most saturated in the whole archive, and its contrast with the green of the crest is pushed to the point where the landscape becomes a decorative band.
